This past summer, one of our patients, Jane, reported that she has struggled to find the time to put her health first since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She told us that it’s been challenging for her to maintain awareness of her asthma symptoms during such a busy, difficult time. Between juggling her everyday life and working from home, Jane found herself putting her health last, even though it has never been more important for those with respiratory illnesses to put their health first. 

After using our patient app, Jane reported that receiving our daily notification reminders gave her a much-needed moment in her busy day to check in with herself. She told us that being prompted to take some time to ask herself, “so, how are you?” allowed her to review her asthma symptoms on a much more frequent basis. She found peace knowing that what she tracked in our app could be easily accessed by her pulmonologist on our physician platform. 

Jane also told us that using our patient app positively influenced the trust she has with her respiratory care provider. She added that she appreciates how our patient app and physician platform are connected, which makes it easier for her and her pulmonologist to review her triggers and symptoms when she visits him in-office: “it helps to track my asthma better, and to give him the information that I don’t have to try to remember.”
